Padma Lakshmi Dons Bikini on Top Chef

Padma Lakshmi donned a bikini and heels for episode 14 of Top Chef. Paparazzi photographs of Padma in her bikini had already appeared on the Internet a couple weeks before the Bahamas epsiode.

The chef contestants all had to dive for their main ingredient, conch. We felt quite nervous when they tried to get the conch out of the shells using knives and hammers. We really don’t want to see any more blood and gore on Top Chef — or on any cooking show for that matter.

In the end, Tiffany was sent home for her Conch and Coconut Chowder with Sweet Potatoes. Tiffany’s soup was cold and unpleasant. We thought Richard Blais’ Sweet Potato Linguine with Conch and Spiny Lobster should have won the episode, but the win went to Mike Isabella for his Banana Wrapped Gouper recipe, despite the fact that he wrapped the fish in banana leaves and drowned it in butter. You can see photographs of the dishes here. Lorena Garcia was the guest judge for this episode and she was quite annoying. We won’t be tuning into to see her new show. We think Richard has what it takes to win Top Chef next week, providing he doesn’t destroy his final dishes in an artistic rage before they are served.
