Free Pranks to Pull Off for April Fool’s Day

Pull out your Whoopee cushions and disappearing ink, April Fool’s Day is on the way.

April 1 is your ticket to play childish pranks, to tap into your silly side and become the jokester you long to be. Just in case you weren’t named class clown, here are some fun and free ideas for pranks you can pull off this April Fool’s Day.
Hide Someone’s Cell Phone – Jim from the NBC hit The Office is quite the prankster. Draw inspiration from his antics and hide a co-worker’s cell phone in the ceiling tiles above his or her desk. Keep calling the number and watch as they frantically try to find their lost phone, just like Andy did.
Take on a New Identity – Use fun free tech toys like Skype Voice Changer to take on a new identity when calling friends and family members. There are a few options to choose from so you can experiment with different characters.
Give Their Computer a Virus – Viruses are not funny, but fake ones can be. Download the free “Ultimate” software which makes the computer appear to have a serious virus. Your loved one may freak out as they seemingly watch all files being deleted from their hard drive, but then a message appears saying “thank God this is only a game…”
Forget Your Coffee Cup – This prank is pulled on strangers. Aprilfoolzone.com suggests securing magnets to the bottom of an old empty coffee mug, then attaching to the top of your car during your morning commute. You’ll have a fun time watching as people frantically try to alert you to your forgotten cup of joe.
Serve Up a Surprise – Here’s one you can pull off at home—fill a pitcher with water and some food coloring. According to AprilFools.com an unsuspecting family member will pour a nice tall glass expecting a sweet sip of juice. And of course, that’s not what they’ll taste. Instead they’ll get a tall drink of April Fool’s Day!

Every year I use clear thread to sew the flys shut on the top 5 or 6 pairs in the stack in the dresser of my husband’s underwear. He falls for it every year. or maybe he is just a good sport? Probably the second.

The Skype Voice Changer(by Mark Heath) was originally started as a side project and gained a large following quickly and is fun to mess around with whether it is on April Fools day or not. We wrote about it here (http://www.softwarecrew.com/2011/03/skype-voice-changer-enables-you-to-alter-your-voice-on-a-call/) if you want to get the lowdown on how it works and its features.

    Cheers
