George Michael Debuts New Song for Prince William and Kate Middleton

On the Piers Morgan show, George Michael premiered his new song “You and I” that he has released for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The song was originally written and recorded by Stevie Wonder in 1972 and Stevie waived the royalty rights until after the wedding, which was quite generous of him. George cleared the song with the couple first and said that if they didn’t like it, he had another backup idea. But they loved the idea of a free song.

You can download the song for free at GeorgeMichael.com. George asks that, if you can, please make a donation to one of the charities William and Kate chose to benefit in lieu of getting wedding gifts. You can see the charities they chose royalweddingcharityfund.org.
